Marblehead's Pond Street Closed 2 Weeks For Road Work

Detours will be in place for construction that will occur from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m.

MARBLEHEAD, MA — Pond Street in Marblehead will be closed for about two weeks for upcoming construction.

Marblehead police issued an advisory alerting residents and visitors to the project that will close the road at Orne Street.

Police said detours will be in place with those looking to do business at the Marblehead Lobster Company told to take Norman Street to a right on Beason Street with Beacon Street. Beacon Street will be a two-way from the Lobster Company to Norman Street until the construction is complete.

Police said signage will be up at both locations with construction from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day until the project is completed.
