New Marblehead Snow Emergency Parking Ban Rules In Effect This Weekend
The parking ban will begin earlier than midnight after the Select Board approved the new guidelines this week.

MARBLEHEAD, MA — It did not take long for Marblehead to put its new snow emergency parking ban guidelines into practice.
Just four days after the Select Board unanimously approved a flexible ban — previously all bans were from midnight to 7 a.m. — the town declared a parking ban beginning at 11 a.m. on Saturday and concluding at 11 a.m. on Sunday morning unless conditions dictate otherwise.
Up to 7 inches of snow was expected across parts of the state Saturday night into Sunday before precipitation turns to ice and then rain along the coast, with an extending period of freezing rain possible inland.
