Proclamation for Motorcycle Safety Awareness Period in Marblehead, MA

The Marblehead Select Board has joined the Commonwealth in helping to promote the more than 165,000 motorcycles coming out of winter's hibernation. With this Proclamation of the Motorcycle Safety Awareness Period, which runs from March 23 to April 30, 2025 and throughout the riding season. The Proclamation is aimed at increasing awareness and reducing accidents. The year 2024 saw 70 motorcyclists and one passenger killed here in MA and over 330 crashes resulting in "serious bodily injuries" as reported by MA D.O.T. The Board's Proclamation benefits the 315 bikers, riders and, owners of motorcycles registered in Marblehead with an extended goal aimed at increasing awareness and reducing accidents.
