Show Some Feline Love In Marblehead This Valentine's Day

The annual fundraising and awareness event for the Marblehead Animal Shelter begins Saturday.

MARBLEHEAD, MA — The Marblehead Animal Shelter's annual week of fundraising to benefit the town's rescued cats begins Saturday.

The Friends of Marblehead's Abandoned Animals' "Fall in Love with a Feline" campaign is aimed at raising awareness of the town's homeless pet population and raising money to support the no-kill shelter.

  • Creature Comforts and Pawsitively Marblehead will have a "photo booth" open on Saturday. from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Bring your pup for an adorable Valentine pic! Donations are also welcome
  • PETCO in Vinnin Square, Swampscott will be having a pet food collection from Feb. 12 through Feb. 19.
  • Abbot Public Library will once again provide your choice of making a fleece cat toy or a Valentine featuring photographs of one of the kitties awaiting adoption at the shelter
