Talented Young North Shore Musicians To Perform At Winter Concerts
Beverly, Danvers, Marblehead, Peabody, Salem and Swampscott students will play for the Northeast Massachusetts Youth Orchestra on Dec. 10.

IPSWICH, MA — Talented musicians from throughout the North Shore will perform during the Northeast Massachusetts Youth Orchestra's "An Afternoon of Winter Concerts" on Dec. 10 at the Dolan Performing Arts Center of Ipswich.
The 2 p.m. concert features the Prelude String Ensemble, Overture String Ensemble and the Intermezzo Orchestra.
The 4 p.m. concert features NMYO's advanced ensembles: Wind Ensemble, Select Flute Choir, and Symphony Orchestra. The concerts will include music by Elgar, Mussorgsky, Rimsky-Korsakov, Sibelius and more.

'This free concert ushers in the holiday season and has become a wonderful tradition for concertgoers of all ages," NMYO Music Director Gerald Dolan said. "We invite the community to join us for this festive event."

NMYO's 150 musicians come from more than 40 cities and towns throughout northeast Massachusetts and southern New Hampshire and participate in one or more of six ensembles offered.
