100 Years Ago: Ground Broken on Union Street Hospital

Sept. 19, 1911: Work on New Hospital Begun: Ground Broken Monday Morning Under Favorable Auspices

Ground for the new city hospital on Union St., was broken Monday morning and from now until May, when the contract provides for the completion of the structure, the work will proceed with all possible speed. To Dr. C.T. Warner, chairman of the building committee, belongs the honor of turning the first shovelful of earth.
