MARLBOROUGH, MA — The autumnal equinox on Monday, Sept. 22, signals the official arrival of fall, but the season is already in full swing in the Bay State with events like corn mazes, hay rides, fall festivals and harvest events.

Sunny days and crisp evenings are perfect for outdoor fun.

Marlborough Oktoberfest is on Sept. 27 from 1 to 8 p.m. at Flying Dreams Parking Lot at 277 Main St.

Miles For Mutts 5K Race/Walk is at 67 Fitchburg St. on Oct. 4 at 10 a.m.

Meet & Greet with Pat Patriot and Patriots Cheerleaders is at Apex Entertainment Marlborough on Oct. 11 from 1 to 3 p.m.

Trunk or Treat is an event for kids to safely trick or treat from community-sponsored cars with themed and decorated trunks. It's at The Campus, at 100Campus Dr., on Oct. 19 from 12 to 3 p.m.

Halloween Horribles’ Parade is on the Thursday night before Halloween in downtown Marlborough.
