5 Things You Need to Know Today: Aug. 29
Here is a list of things going on in and around Marlborough today.
1. After a brisk fall-like morning, we can expect sunny skies and a high of 77 degrees, says the National Weather Service.
2. Despite statements from National Grid and the asking residents to temper their expectations, it seems seems some neighborhoods are coming back on-line sooner than expected (Downtown, Hosmer, French Hill...). Check with us throughout the day for updates.
3. State Rep. Steve Levy just reported this via his Facebook page: "Here's the deal Marlboro. So some of the massive overhead power lines by Lake Williams and S'Boro are down & can only be repaired by helicopter. Meeting w/ Lt Gov & Mayor to talk discuss plans at 10:15. N'Grid trying workaround to restore as much as possible."

5. Those in need of food and water should head over to the west side of the city where I believe has reopened as have several restaurants. There is also the emergency shelter at the being serviced by the Red Cross and others. They will have essentials on hand as well.
