5 Things You Need to Know Today: Oct. 10

Our weekday morning column, 5 Things You Need to Know, provides you with information that can help you plan your day and give you some fodder for water cooler conversations.

1. We are in for more unseasonably warm weather on this Columbus Day. The National Weather Service says to expect sunny skies and a high of 80 degrees. 

2. There will be a mayoral candidate debate breakfast between Arthur Vigean and Matthew Jones Wednesday, Oct. 12 at  from 7:45 to 9:15 a.m. Cost: $20 pp Members; $30 pp Non-Members. Register at their websiteemail, or call the Chamber at 508-485-7746.

3. Start planning ahead: The will host a children's Halloween party Monday, Oct. 24 from 4-6 p.m. Make sure you wear a costume and come prepared to have some fun!

4. Hungry? The Epicurean Room restaurant at  has re-opened for the 2011-2012 season. The restaurant had a complete makeover this summer, and is adding many new delectable dishes for your dining pleasure. The restaurant will be open from Tuesdays through Fridays from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., with an 'all you can eat' buffet on Thursdays. Reservations are encouraged, as it often fills, and can be made by calling 508-485-9430, ext. 1119.
