4. Foundation for MetroWest announced recently that they are seeking applicants for the 2011-2012 Youth Action Council. The Council is comprised of sixteen participants from around the MetroWest region and is part of the Foundation’s Youth in Philanthropy Program. Applicants must be of high school age and able to travel to the Foundation for MetroWest offices in Natick for regularly scheduled evening meetings. Youth Action Council is a hands-on program that teaches high school youth the fundamentals of grant making, giving back to the community, and the nonprofit world. Application materials can be found online at www.FoundationforMetroWest.org. The deadline to apply is Thursday, Sept. 29.
