Community Honors 2 Local Heroes For Rescue Of Young Girl In Marlborough
DPW Facilities employee Anthony Zanella and Marlborough Firefighters Local 1714 Battalion Chief Brian LaCroix were recognized.

MARLBOROUGH, MA —Mayor J. Christian Dumais honored two local heroes on Thursday.
Both DPW Facilities employee Anthony Zanella and Marlborough Firefighters Local 1714 Battalion Chief Brian LaCroix were recognized for their bravery after saving a young girl from a dog attack. Zanella jumped out of his vehicle to pull the child from the dog's grip, while Chief LaCroix provided aid until paramedics arrived.
"Thanks to their courage and fast response," wrote the city in a news release. "The City of Marlborough is deeply grateful for their bravery and service to our community."
