Longtime Marlborough Regional Chamber of Commerce Pres. Retires

Susanne Morreale Leeber has served the chamber for 30 years.

MARLBOROUGH, MA—After 30 years of service, Susanne Morreale Leeber is retiring as president and CEO of the Marlborough Regional Chamber of Commerce.

The chamber invites the community to celebrate the retirement of Leeber on Thursday, May 10, from 5:30– 8:30 p.m. at the Best Western Royal Plaza at 181 Boston Post Road West, Marlborough, MA.

Leeber joined the Marlborough Regional Chamber of Commerce in January of 1987 as the membership director and has served as the President and CEO since 1991. During her tenure, she has been the recipient of numerous awards for her commitment and service to the Marlborough region and has been instrumental in supporting and promoting area businesses, said the announcement.

“Sue has been an invaluable resource for me and my business,” said Chamber member Emily Greenwood of EKG Networking, Inc., in a statement. “Anytime we had a question, or needed a resource, the Chamber was there and Sue would immediately, off the top of her head, make a connection and know someone who would be an expert in their field. She has such a store of local, regional, statewide and nationwide information.”

“We are encouraging all who have worked with Susanne to attend and help us to both honor and recognize her for her years of service, and also to offer her our best wishes for a happy retirement,” said Chamber Board of Directors Chair Mary Jo Nawrocki in a statement.

The price to attend is $50 per person and includes cash bar, hot and cold hors d’oeuvres, cake and coffee. In addition, the $50 price per person will include a contribution to a gift for Leeber.
