Man Allegedly Assaults Roommate With Steak Knife, Guitar

A Marlborough man has been accused of assaulting a roommate with an acoustic guitar early Tuesday morning.

Police arrested a Marlborough man after he allegedly assaulted his roomate with a steak knife, acoustic guitar and then bit him.

"The defendent grabbed the kitchen steak knife and cut his hand with it,” said Marlborough Police Detective Paul DeCiero. "He then grabbed a guitar and hit the victim at least two times."

Police arrived at Short Street after an assault was reported. An investigation indicated that Harold A. Garcia, 23, of 49 Short Street Apt. 3 had assaulted his roommate with a steak knife and guitar before biting his nipple and hitting him multiple times, according to court reports. The roommate was not transported to the hospital, said DeCiero.

Carcia was arrested on charges of three counts of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, one count of assault with a dangerous weapon and three counts of assault and battery. He was released on personal recognizance with a court date in July.
