Marlborough Girl Skips Birthday Presents, Delivers $800 in Donations to Veterans

A Marlborough girl recently asked her friends to skip a birthday present for her, and instead asked them to donate items to veterans.

Bethany Nicole Gibson, 9, has made a tradition of giving. This is the second consecutive year she's contributed items to charities instead of accepting gifts for herself. Last week, she contributed $800 in donated items to a Bedford-based veterans' hospital, according to a report on WCVB.com.
