Marlborough Police Complete Interactive Training

More than 50 officers participated.

MARLBOROUGH, MA — Police officers in Marlborough completed an important training last week.

A total of 56 officers from the Marlborough Police Department finished an interactive, scenario-based training on Friday, according to a news release from the Middlesex Sheriff's Office. The training lasted 11 days and happened at Middlesex Sherriffs Mobile Training Center.

The officers had to complete a series of video-based scenarios that replicated real situations, like traffic stops and trespassing situations. They also participated in an active-shooter scenario.

“Collaboration is a vital component of effective public safety, and we are extremely proud of our work with the Marlborough Police Department,” said Middlesex Sheriff Peter J. Koutoujian. “We look forward to continuing to work alongside Chief Giorgi and his team to serve the residents of Marlborough through this and other ongoing initiatives.”
