Marlborough Seeks Mural Artists For Historical Project
Marlborough is accepting applications from artists for a project to debut this fall.

MARLBOROUGH, MA — Marlborough is looking for mural artists to depict the city's history in a piece of art that will cover a bland retaining wall.
Late last week, Marlborough began accepting applications from artists for the project, which will cover the long concrete wall along South Bolton Street at the end of Cotting Avenue.
Marlborough is looking for artists who can depict the city's entire history, from its founding through the industrial age to today.

“This is a project we have been interested in doing for some time. Marlborough has a deeply rich history that we are looking to proudly exhibit through a mural that will last for years to come while beautifying a heavily travelled thoroughfare. We hope we can find one of our local talented artists to take on this project,” Mayor Arthur Vigeant said in a news release.
The city will accept applications through April 24, and officials are anticipating the actual painting will take place in late summer or early fall.
