Marlborough Will Cut Sewer Service During Lining Project

Residents and businesses will get about 24 hours to prepare for rolling sewer disruptions in the coming days.

MARLBOROUGH, MA — Some Marlborough residents and businesses need to prepare for the loss of sewer service as the city mounts an infrastructure project over the next two weeks.

Starting Monday, Marlborough will begin lining sewer pipes along Main Street. During the cutoffs, residents and businesses won't be able to use washing machines and dishwashers, and will have to keep any wash water in the tub.

According to a bulletin from the city posted Friday evening, the service disruptions will take place over the next two weeks, and will occur at night from about 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. each day. The city will give residents and businesses a 24-hour warning before service interruptions occur.
