Obits: 100-Year-Old Doctor and Korean War Vet

Grafton — Dr. Harland N. Hannon, a longtime Grafton physician died May 13, 2013 at Milford Regional Medical Center surrounded by family at age 100.

Dr. Hannon then came to Grafton in 1940 establishing his family practice and a well baby clinic on Worcester St. in North Grafton where he practiced until age 92. He was also affiliated with Worcester Memorial Hospital and served many area nursing homes.

Westborough — Mary (D’Elia) Silvestry, 86, a longtime Westborough resident, died peacefully on Friday May 17, 2013 at UMass Memorial Medical Center, Memorial Campus with her family at her side.

In her younger years she was a lifeguard at Bell Pond and worked at the Coca Cola plant on Shrewsbury Street in Worcester. She also worked for a short time at Fay Mountain Apple Orchard in Westborough. Mary always believed her real work in life was raising her family.

Grafton — Carolyn Ann (Robar) Mossa, 69, died May 13, 2013 from complications of Alzheimers.

She graduated from Grafton High School Class of 1961 where she also played varsity basketball. Mrs. Mossa worked in administration at Zayres and then in Quality Control at BetaTherm in Shrewsbury.

Westborough — John Edward Beaudry, 80, formerly of Westborough and Cape Cod, died peacefully, surrounded by his loving family at the Shrewsbury Nursing Center on May 16, 2013.

He was a veteran of the Korean War and worked at the former Bay State Abrasives in Westborough for more than 35 years, retiring to the Cape in 1995.
