Regular Marlborough Food Drive Event Returns For Fall 2023

The quarterly drive sponsored by the Marlborough Democratic City Committee benefits the Marlborough Community Cupboard.

MARLBOROUGH, MA — The Marlborough Democratic City Committee will host a food drive on Oct. 28 as part of a quarterly series the group holds each year. The October collection for the Marlborough Community Cupboard is seeking a variety of food, household and hygiene items, and comes before the important holiday season.

The Marlborough Democratic City Committee (MDCC) will hold its Fall collection drive of food, personal items, and funds to benefit the Marlborough Community Cupboard on Saturday, Oct. 28, rain or shine. MDCC conducts four drives each year.

Donors should drop their items off at the Navin Arena lower parking lot, 451 Bolton St., Marlborough, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Non-perishable food, personal care items, and financial donations, including gift cards, are welcome.

Needed items include:

  • Children’s items, especially diapers, sizes 4-5, and wipes
  • Basic cooking items such as oil and sugar
  • Peanut butter and jelly
  • Canned goods such as Spaghetti O's, raviolis, spaghetti and meatballs, chili, canned soups, canned vegetables, and canned beans of all kinds
  • Salt
  • Breakfast items including all cereals, hot or cold
  • Condiments such as ketchup, mustard, and mayonnaise
