Uber Driver Assaulted In Marlborough During Fight Over Directions: MPD

Marlborough police arrested a Shrewsbury man, saying he hit the woman with his phone.

MARLBOROUGH, MA — Marlborough police arrested a Shrewsbury man over the weekend after he hit his Uber driver with a phone during an argument about directions, police said.

Police went to the Sunoco gas station along Bolton Street just before 6:30 p.m. Saturday on a report of an assault. The Uber driver told police that her passenger hit her over the head with his phone because of a disagreement over the route to the man's home in Shrewsbury.

Police arrested Daniel Lundy, 61, on a charge of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.
