Chilmark Votes Against Tea Lane Farmhouse
Voters in Chilmark turn down money for Farmhouse renovations

This past Monday, Chilmark residents voted to indefinitely postpone a proposal to spend $550,000 to renovate the historic Tea Lane farmhouse at the corner of Tea Lane and Middle Road.
A year ago, voters voted against a $300,000 plan to repair the farmhouse and lease it to a local farmer.
A total of 84 voters, approximately 10 percent of the town's 863 registered voters, attended the meeting. The town's three selectmen voted against the motion to postpone the article, but voters approved the motion by a standing vote of 48-15.
