Today we've got gingerbread houses from Orange Peel Bakery, a holiday trunk show at State Road and a Christmas tree lighting in Oak Bluffs.

3. This afternoon, Martha Hubbell will lead the first of two at the . Today’s project will be “Creature Feature,” a pipe cleaner animal-making workshop. The following Wednesday (Dec. 14) Martha will lead a workshop on how to make “Tiny Spinning Tops.” Both workshops are free and geared toward kids 10 and up. Please pre-register at the library. 4:30 p.m.–6 p.m.

4. At in West Tisbury tonight is a BB Vintage and Astrea Designs Holiday Trunk Show. On sale will be one-of-a-kind gifts including handmade vintage jewelry, framed collage prints, cards and calendars. 5 p.m.–8 p.m. Refreshments will be served.
5. Tonight is the Oak Bluffs Christmas Tree Lighting, Caroling and Party. Beginning in Post Office Square, the Vineyard Brass ensemble will perform followed by cookies, hot chocolate and, of course, a visit from Santa. Please bring a gift of food for the , 6:30 p.m.
