Five Things You Need to Know Today: November 18
A Breaking Dawn Prom, a preview party and Casino Night are all on this Friday's schedule

1. Kids between the ages of 10-13 can come to the this afternoon for a free skating clinic. This program is for any child who would like to learn to skate or play hockey. The program will also be offered on November 20th from 1:00-2:00pm for 7-9 year olds. The instructors are all professionally trained with Professional Skater’s Association or USA Hockey. Skates and helmets will be available at no cost. Support for this program comes from a grant from Rocksprings Foundation. Please remember to dress warm, and to bring gloves and mittens. 2. If you don’t have a tween in your life then you need not read on. However, if you do, you’ll want to let them know about the at the this afternoon. Come celebrate the release of Breaking Dawn by attending Prom! There will be Twilight trivia, Twilight Wii on the large screen, food and a few gowns to dress up in and pose for photos with the Edward Cullen lifelike cardboard cut out. Ages 12 & up. 3:30 pm - 5:45 pm. FREE
3. All high-rollers should be sure to make it out toat the tonight for some blackjack, craps, roulette, the money wheel, and to enter the 50/50 raffle. A light supper featuring Matt Millman’s award winning chili, music, and a cash bar will round out the evening. This is an 18+ event. 7:30 pm-12 am. Admission is a $10 donation at the door and all proceeds go to the MV Boys & Girls Club.

4. The Martha's Vineyard Film Festival is hosting a special screening of the film, Another Earth at the Capawock Theater in Vineyard Haven. 7:30 pm. Free for MVFF members; $10 for the general public. For more information, visit tmvff.org.
5. Tonight is hosting the for this year’s Holiday Gift Show. The Gallery has been transformed into an exciting festive boutique bursting with holiday cheer and fabulous gifts made by local Island Artists. Get a sneak peek, meet some of the participating artists and be the first to take home the perfect gifts for your loved ones- and yourself! 7 pm - 9 pm.
