An art opening, a festival of arts and edibles and it's going to be dark before you know it

  1. Now that we’ve fallen backward, it’s going to be dark a whole hour earlier than we’re used to. While different sources vary, it’s safe to say that the sun will go down between 4:45 pm and 5 pm.
  2. There is a Walk this afternoon. Land Bank will staff lead a guided natural history walk of Featherstone Farm in Oak Bluffs at 1 p.m. today. The walk will last approximately 1.5 hours. Meet at the Featherstone Farm trailhead off Barnes Road. Parking is limited. Rain or shine, dress for the weather and wear sturdy shoes or boots. For more information, call 508-627-7141.

  5. Tonight you won’t want to miss the at the . This event promises to be a wonderful evening of arts and edibles! Performances to include: Emma N Young - poet and printmaker; Jason Nichols – songwriter and vegetable grower and You Won't – a two piece intelligent rock n' roll band from the great off-island. Chef Chris Fischer of will be serving his fresh edibles and Chilmark Coffee Roasters Todd Christy will be brewing to order. 6 pm – 9 pm. Free admission, but bring your dollars for dinner, coffee, music, handmade books, and t-shirts.
