Five Things You Need To Know Today: October 27
Wild Edibles, Colonial Fiction and a Turn of the Screw lead us into the Halloween weekend

- Director Suzan Bellincampi will be discussing tonight. Learn how to identify and prepare wild edibles that can be found in your backyard and island neighborhood. Students should dress for the weather as we will be outside for portions of the class. Co-sponsored by ACEÂ MV. 4 pm.
- The hosts Phil Weinstein as he presents: . Drawing on two white British writers (Joseph Conrad and E. M. Forster) and two black Nigerian writers (Chinua Achebe and Buchi Emecheta), this course will explore the ways in which differently positioned writers represent colonial encounter Refreshments will be served. 4 pm – 5:30 pm. - Come to in Edgartown for an Octoberfest Party and support the West Tisbury School PTO. Doors open at 5 pm. There will be a carved pumpkin contest and a Haunted house from 6 pm – 7 pm
