Hooked On...URSULA 1000

This Saturday, June 9th, will be introducing its Club portion of the space with a multi-media dance party featuring Brooklyn, New York based producer / DJ / multi-instrumentalist, URSULA 1000 with opening sets by DJ Topsytail of Kodacrome fame and Island party rocker teddybear, Supa Ricky Prime.  

There will be a visual installation co-ordinated by Gimili Glavin & Design Life and, oh ya, this is going to be off the hook!

Ursula 1000 has been a mainstay on the DC - based spy grooves label, ESL Records, created by Thievery Corporation.  His albums and mix sessions have taken on a broad scope of retro tinged spy grooves, bumping latin disco funk, hints of post punk, electro, go go, sleazy glam rock…And he never stops evolving.  Ursula has just recently set his time machine controls towards primitive garage punk for his new E.P., FUZZ, featuring the inimitable Fred Schneider from The B-52s on the opening song, "Hey You!" and has remixed for the like of Quincy Jones, Felix Da Housecat and Fort Knox Five.

The nite also welcomes two incredibly talented opening act in DJ Topsytail from the electro-pop band Kodacrome and DJ Supa Ricky Prime, Art Blaster extraordinaire.  A visual installation will be presented by Gimili & Design Life.

The show is this Saturday June 9th at 9pm and tickets are $10.
