Accomplishment:

The Vineyarders advanced to the quarter finals of the MIAA state tournament on Wednesday, . That's on top of finishing the regular season with a 17-3 record!

Key to Awesomeness:

The MVRHS boys varsity basketball team is the talk of the Island these days. It's no wonder that they were recommended as this week's Whiz Kids.

As to the key to their awesomeness, the team captains, Randall Jette and Ben Ciciora are both powerful players and powerful leaders. The newly added junior, Peter Keaney, who is the team's second leading scorer, has been a great addition to the team this year.

But, according to their coaches, the real key to the team's awesomeness, aside from their hard work, dedication and skill is that they are best friends. This team works and plays together—at all times. To their coaches, that's what has made all the difference this year.

We won't know what the future holds for this team until after the outcome of tonight's game, but we can be sure that the Vineyarders are made up of plenty of Whiz Kids.

The public is invited to pack the Sancy Pachico Gym tonight at 5:15 p.m. as the team against Wareham High School. Let's show them how much we love our kids!
