Martha's Vineyard Power Outages Down To Under 100

Martha's Vineyard power outage update: dozens remained without power after devastating nor'easter.

MARTHA'S VINEYARD, MA — Fewer than 100 remained without power on Martha's Vineyard Monday after Friday's devastating nor'easter. This is a town-by-town breakdown of outages as of Monday at 9:15 a.m., according to Eversource:

  • Aquinnah: 7
  • Chilmark: 6
  • West Tisbury : 32
  • Edgartown: 18
  • Oak Bluffs: 14

Statewide, more than 70,000 were without power Monday morning — mostly in Southeastern Massachusetts and on Cape Cod. Outages were expected to persist into mid-week or later, according to the Massachusetts Emergency Management Agency.

Another nor'easter will hit Eastern Massachusetts Wednesday, though it will be weaker than Friday's storm.

At the height of Friday's storm, more than 450,000 lost power across Massachusetts. On Martha's Vineyard, nearly the entire island lost power.
