Must-Do Kid's Event: Family Dance-o-Rama

For the sixth summer in a row, the Island's hottest dance club opens up for the youngest residents to get their groove on every Wednesday night. takes place at /Flatbread in Edgartown from 5:30 to 7:30 pm with DJ Shizz spinning non-stop kid- and parent-friendly tunes.

Manager Jordan Malcolm loves Family Dance-O-Rama "because it really brings everyone together. It's a great outlet for families. The kids run around, have a great time, dance and the parents get to sit back and watch it all while enjoying their meal."

Nectar's has the Island's largest dancefloor and Dance-O-Rama night comes complete with disco lighting effects and bubbles. Flatbread Pizza offers up wood-grilled family-friendly pizzas made with local and organic ingredients. Add in free admission plus the bar for mom and dad and you've got the perfect night for everyone.

"We've got kids in strollers all the way up to teenagers," said Malcolm. "And there's always a fare share of parents who get up and dance as well."

Malcolm suggests arriving early, as the tables do fill up quickly, and reminds families that "take-out is always an option." Family Dance-O-Rama continues through the end of the summer.
