'Oceans & Oysters' Weekend Hits Martha's Vineyard
Winnetu Oceanside Resort hosts the weekend event in collaboration with Jefferson's Bourbon. Here's what to expect.
EDGARTOWN, MA — The Winnetu Oceanside Resort in Edgartown, Martha’s Vineyard, is set to host a unique event this weekend.
‘Oceans & Oysters’, an "elevated culinary experience" is scheduled for Friday through Sunday on the Vineyard. The event will be hosted in collaboration with Trey Zoeller, the visionary Founder of Jefferson’s Bourbon.
Spanning over three days, Oceans & Oysters will celebrate the art of pairing locally sourced oysters with the flavors of Jefferson’s Ocean voyages, all aged at sea.

"The event will enhance the island’s culinary landscape with an interactive weekend of unforgettable tastings and activities set against the backdrop of the resort’s stunning 11-acre," resort officials said.
The event will commence with guided oyster tours led by local Cottage City Oysters, followed by a Jefferson’s Bourbon tasting on The Dune’s Deck with a raw bar and chowder sampling. The first evening will conclude with a classic New England clambake accompanied by a specialty Jefferson’s Bourbon bar.

On day two, guests can participate in interactive cooking demos led by celebrity chefs, followed with oyster shell painting and a special Winnetu bourbon barrel pouring. The second afternoon of the weekend will feature a cocktail hour and oyster shucking session, closing with a dinner featuring the Winnetu’s Executive Chef Richard Doucette and Chef Brian Arruda from Executive Chefs at Home.
The weekend will wrap up with a celebratory brunch and Bloody Mary Bar, featuring local Deep Water Oysters shucking, seafood accoutrements and conversations with MV Shellfish Association.
Individual event tickets range from $80-175 per person. For the full weekend experience, guests can book the overnight package which starts at $595/night and includes choice of the Winnetu's 58 rooms, suites or cottages, tickets to all events, gratuities and exclusive resort amenities.
