Photo Gallery: Stars + Stripes a Huge Success

Last night's show rocked the house and raised over $40K for the YMCA of Martha's Vineyard

The nearly sold out crowd at the at was rocked last night by an astounding show featuring Grouplove, St. Lucia,  Alex Winston, Sea Monsters, and Island teens Katherine Reid and Nate D’angelo

Final numbers were not in, but early tallies showed that 400 tickets were sold and $40,000 was raised for the . The event, which is the brainchild of Lizzy Plapinger and Derek Davies of Neon Gold Records, brought out an enthusiastic crowd of all ages. Even actor Danny McBride of the hit HBO series Eastbound and Down was in attendance.

The two opening teen acts, Katherine Reid and Nate D’angelo, were impressive in both their musical and performing skills. Island summer band Sea Monsters got the crowd moving and St. Lucia kept it going with powerful electronic pop and a band that including a banjo and a saxophone. Alex Winston gave a great show complete with a little stage diving.

The headliners, Grouplove, were the real stars of the show. The band looked like they were having the time of their lives on stage and knocked it out of the park with their full sound, tight performance and a drummer that blew everyone’s mind.
