Today is the 5K for KJ. Starting at the , Oak Bluffs, this 5K run through State Forest benefits Cross Country Scholarship Fund. Register at MVRHS cafeteria, 8 am - 9:30 am. $20; $60 for family of 4. Race starts at 10 am

In honor of the ongoing exhibit, explore the conflict from a unique perspective at the , in Edgartown. There will be a screening of Traces of the Trade that follows ten family members as they retrace the Triangle Trade from their ancestral home in Rhode Island to the slave forts of Ghana, across the bitter Middle Passage to the sugar plantations of the Caribbean, back to America. The story reveals that the North, not just the South, was massively complicit in slavery. Former University of Pennsylvania president and professor of history, Sheldon Hackney, will introduce the film and follow it with a Q&A session. $8
