Medfield School District Among the 'Best Bang For your Buck' in Massachusetts

The Medfield Public School district has been listed as one of the best in the state when it comes to value, according to a new survey by NerdWallet Finance.

The list of the “Best School Districts for Your Buck” in Massachusetts offers data on the state’s school districts that represent the best “bang for your buck,” looking at standardized test schools, college readiness and class size data for 226 unified and secondary school districts in the state.

Medfield ranked ninth on the list, having “the highest four-year graduation rate in the state” at 99.1 percent, as well as the fifth-highest rate of grads attending college or some other form of higher education.

With a median home value of $574,7000, Medfield was also noted for having 98.5 percent of 10th graders scoring Advanced on the MCAS exams, as well as an average SAT score of 1761, according to the survey.

3. Holliston
4. Mansfield
5. Hopkinton
6. Littleton
7. Medway
8. Berlin-Boylston
9. Medfield
10. Acton-Boxborough

It’s not the first time the district has been recognized this year; in June, Medfield High School was noted for being one of the best in the state by GoLocal and by U.S. News and World Report.
