Several Summonses Issued for Drinking at State Hospital, Wrong Plates, Plus Protective Custody

Friday, April 26

12:30 a.m., Main Street. Caller reported an erratic driver on Main Street eastbound. Police located the car (2005 Toyota Scion) on Robert Sproul Road. A 37 year old woman from East Falmouth was taken into protective custody. The car was towed.

6:23 a.m., Main Street. Caller reported a car (2012 Nissan) passing another vehicle on the right. Westwood was notified and has the vehicle.

7:34 a.m., Main Street. Cumberland Farms reported a gas spill on the property. Medfield EMTs responded and took care of spill.

8:54 a.m., Main Street. Police pulled over a car that had the wrong plates on it. Police are seeking a summons for the 25 year old driver from Hollis Street, Holliston, for (1) unregistered motor vehicle, (2) uninsured motor vehicle, and (3) attaching plates to a motor vehicle. The car was towed. 

9:41 a.m., Pine Street. Caller reported a problem with fisher cats that are living by her driveway. Animal Control was notified. 

10:18 a.m., Main Street. Caller said she just put out a very small brush fire by the parking lot lights near Marshall's. Medfield EMTs responded. 

1:10 p.m., Main Street. Police assisted a disabled motor vehicle which was towed. 

2:20 p.m., Main Street. Walk-in report of larceny. The man said that a briefcase was stolen from his car between 8:15 a.m. and 8:25 a.m. while he was getting his coffee at Dunkin Donuts on Main Street this morning. 

2:22 p.m., station. One burning permit was issued.

3:44 p.m., Oriole Road. Walk-in report of credit card fraud. 

4:48 p.m., Adams Street. Medfield EMTs responded to Dale Street School to check on a young boy who may have hurt himself by the front office to the school. He was taken to Norwood Hospital.

4:54 p.m., Elm Street. Caller asked police to remove the people on their dirt bikes in the sand pits behind the Wheelock School. Police responded and the two bikes drove off. 

5:15 p.m., Hospital Road. Walk-in report of suspicious activity near the Odyssey House at the former Medfield State Hospital. Three summons were issued for two Thomas Clewes Road males -- one for selling/delivering liquor to a person under 21, and one for being a person under 21 in possession of liquor -- and one Adams Street male for being a person under 21 in possession of liquor. Two cars were towed. 

Saturday, April 27

12:26 a.m., West Street. Police put out a campfire at 99 West Street. 

9:15 a.m., station. Walk-in report of family problems he is having.

10:21 a.m., station. Walk-in report of family problems he is having.

5:44 p.m., Spring Street. Traffic control at St. Edward's Church.
