Spring Clean for Medfield Green Day, May 4

Medfield GREEN DAY is a drive-thru donating and recycling event held annually to provide residents with a quick and easy way to pass along items that they no longer need.

It's time to start Spring Cleaning which means it's time to think about recycling and repurposing, and that's where "Medfield GREEN DAY" comes in.

On Saturday, May 4, from 9 a.m. to noon, Medfield Green will be hosting its annual Medfield GREEN DAY at the American Legion, 110 Peter Kristof Way, Medfield, where more than a dozen local non-profit organizations will be on-site to accept donations.

"It is a wonderful opportunity to donate," said Lucille Fisher who is helping with the event. "You get to spring clean and get rid of the stuff you don't want any more but then it's going to be donated for a good cause or recycled for a good use."

Plus, the Butterfly Tree will again be handing out $5 coupons (why supplies last) to donors.

Volunteers from Medfield Green will be available to help unload cars and see that donations reach the correct organization.

Among the many organizations will be

  • Medfield Police Department to collect expired prescriptions
  • Transfer Station to sell new access stickers
  • Shredder vendor for plastic cards (gift cards, credit cards, etc.)
  • and much, much more

This is a Medfield Green event and is sponsored by MEMO (the Medfield Employers and Merchants Organization).
