2 Arrested After Medford Car Break-Ins
Two people were arrested after a woman caught them trying to steal her car in the Hooker Street area Wednesday.
MEDFORD, MA — Police arrested two people in connection with a series of car break-ins in the Hooker Street area. Around 5:30 a.m. Wednesday, a woman told police that two people were trying to steal her car. The woman said she tried to confront them and they fled toward Sheridan Avenue, police said.
Two people matching the description of the suspects were detained a couple blocks away from where multiple break-ins were reported, police said. Officers found evidence directly connecting the pair to the latest break-in, police said.
One of the suspects is an 18-year-old man, and the other is a juvenile. Police said they are not identifying the 18-year-old because it could reveal the identity of the juvenile through association.
