BLM Peaceful Gathering Planned In Medford Friday

Mayor Breanna Lungo-Koehn and Police Chief Jack Buckley are expected to speak at the gathering at Hormel Stadium.

MEDFORD, MA – A peaceful gathering to remember "black lives lost to police brutality and racism" will take place Friday at Hormel Stadium. Mayor Breanna Lungo-Koehn and Police Chief Jack Buckley are scheduled to speak, and organizers say attendees will have the opportunity to share a few words as well.

Attendees are asked to bring their own electric candles and signs. City officials will be there to "listen to us, to hear us and to show that they care," so organizers stress treating them with respect.

The gathering will take place from 4-5 p.m. Hormel Stadium is located at 90 Locust St.
