Fells Plan Revealed; High School Sports in Swing
Here's five things. Thursday, September 15, 2011.

Good morning, here's five things to know today:
- Last night, Officials from the DCR presentend a draft managment plan for Middlesex Fells that calls for improved trail signage and maps, preserving areas that are currently trail-free, and designated areas for uses like mountain biking and off-leash dogs. It also calls to eliminate some trails that are either poorly kept or redundant.
- The Girls Soccer team will host it's second home game of the season at 4 p.m. today. They take on Lynn English.
- Area High School X-Country Teams Square Off: The Medford High Boys and Girls cross-country teams will be taking place in the Greater Boston League Open, hosted today by Somerville High School at 3:30 p.m.
- Rain Likely: There's a 60 percent chance of rain showers today, with highs in the upper-70s, according to the National Weather Service. It will be cool and sunny tomorrow, with highs in the low 60s.
- James "Whitey" Bulger did not attend an initial status hearing in federal court Wednesday morning, as his attorney asked for more time to wade through the heaps of documents provided to him by federal prosecutors.
