Mayoral Primary Today, Green Line Meeting Too

Here's five things. Tuesday, Sept. 13, 2011.

Good morning, here's five things to know today:

  1. Mayoral Primary: Polls will be open today for a Mayoral primary from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. The top two vote-getters between incumbent Michael McGlynn, and challengers Anthony D'Antonio and will advance to the general election in November.
  2. Green Line Extension Meetings in Boston Today: Following news that the Green Line Extension won't be completed until 2018 or later, the state's Department of Environmental Protection will hold two public meetings today to accept comments on the project's status report. The meetings will be held at 1 p.m. and 5 p.m. at the DEP offices at 1 Winter Street.
  3. Somerville Police are asking for the public's help in tracking down an indecent assault suspect from an incident in Davis Square early Saturday morning. He was described as about 5-foot-4 to 5-foot-7 with thick eyebrows.
  4. Sunny and Warm: Clear skies and high temps are expected today, with temperatures in the mid-80s, according to the National Weather Service. There's a 20 percent chance of thunderstorms tomorrow.
  5. Parking Garage Meeting Tomorrow: The community development board will hold a public hearing at 6 p.m. at City Hall tomorrow to discuss the proposed 4-story parking garage.
