Medford High Grads Take Football to Next Level; Finn Headed to Agganis Classic
Alec Finn and Joe D'Alessandro will both play college football next year.

Congratulations to the following Seniors who have declared their intentions for the fall of 2011 who will either attending a University, College, Community College, Vocational School or Prep School:
Alec Finn, #88, Captain, Tight End/Defensive End/LB/Long Snapper. Will be enrolling at Curry College, Milton, MA. to play for Head Coach John “Skip” Bandini as a Linebacker. Curry a perennial D3 Football powerhouse in the North East with past Mustang players Sean Spencer and Andrew Waldrip playing major roles for the Colonels.

Alec was a 3 year varsity letterman in football, 1 varsity letter in indoor track (Shot Put), 3 year two way starter, Team Most Valuable Player, Greater Boston Conference League All Star, Harry Agganis All Star Selection. Mercury All Scholastic Team and the team’s long snapper. In addition the recipient of the Once a Mustang..Always a Mustang Scholarship Award and M-Club’s Romano Memorial Football Award.

Enrolling at Hudson Valley Community College, New York to play for newly appointed Head Football Coach Michael Muehling and the Vikings.
Joe earned a 1 varsity letter for the Mustangs handled all of the kicking duties. Joe was selected as Medford’s Outstanding Offensive Player for the Medford/Malden Thanksgiving Day Classic
Joe will concentrate on liberal arts at Hudson Valley and is the son of proud parents Richard and Luisa D’Alessandro.
Finn Selected for Agganis Classic
Alec Finn has also been selected to play in the 2011 Harry Agganis Football All Star Classic on July 14, in Lynn (Manning Bowl).
Prior to playing for the Mustangs, Alec played 6 years for the Medford Pop Warner Colts and was a member of the 2003 EMASS and GBL Pop Warner Championship D Squad Team.
"Being selected is a great honor to represent Medford," Finn said. "A lot of the credit has to go my parents for their support, Coach Rico Dello Iacono and assitants for coaching me up every day and week and of course my teachers and guidance councillor at the vocational school for keeping me focused in my school work."
