MEDFORD, MA — Mayor Breanna Lungo-Koehn said she has received several reports of vandalism of both personal and public property. Reports have been focused where residents displayed opinions on issues or support for the LGBTQ+ community and Black Lives Matter, Lungo-Koehn said. Signs, flags or artwork on private property has been defaced.

"These reports are alarming and unacceptable," Lungo-Koehn said. "Whatever the intention, these acts are hateful, and we will not tolerate this type of behavior in our city."

The mayor urged the community to come together and admonished those who are targeting people for their opinions.
