Medford Mayor: No New COVID-19 Cases Since Start Of Pandemic
"I have never been more hopeful and optimistic," Mayor Breanna Lungo-Koehn said.
MEDFORD, MA—For the first time in almost three months, there were no positive COVID-19 cases in Medford on Sunday, according to Mayor Breanna Lungo-Koehn.
"With the expanded testing initiatives that have been rolled out for Medford residents, and the great deal of testing already done, a day with zero reported cases is an exciting development," the mayor said on her official Facebook page. "I am so proud of the hard work and sacrifices that have been made by everyone in Medford, and it is gratifying to know that these sacrifices have not been empty."
Since the coronavirus outbreak started earlier this year, there have been 103,436 coronavirus cases statewide and 7,316 deaths. In Medford, there have been 987 coronavirus cases to date and 126 deaths.

"We know there is still work to be done before we get back. But following a day with zero reported cases, I have never been more hopeful and optimistic," the mayor said.
