Medford Seeking Parents, Teachers For Reopening Task Force
MPS is looking for 12 parents/caregivers and 12 educators to help shape the upcoming school year.
MEDFORD, MA — Medford is forming a Reopening Task Force composed of district and school leaders, school committee members and parents/caregivers to help shape the reopening of schools. The Department of Elementary and Secondary Education is requiring districts to complete three plans for the upcoming school year: one plan for a full-in person return, one plan for a hybrid model that combines in-person with virtual, and one fully virtual model.
The MPS is seeking 12 Medford parents/caregivers and 12 Medford educators to serve as volunteers on the task force. The expectation would be to attend meetings twice a week in July and spend potential additional hours assisting in August. Time commitment estimates are about 15-20 hours in total.
If interested, respond by Sunday, July 12.
