Medford Square Earth Day Clean Up, Festival May 4

Green Medford is hosting the Medford Square Earth Day Clean-up and Festival for the third year in a row on May 4, according to a post on the city website.

The festival will be held on from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. under tents at the Medford Farmers Market location on Riverside Avenue, across the street from the Hyatt Place Hotel.

Here is a rundown of activities on May 4, according to the city:

A welcome by Mayor Michael McGlynn
- Announcement of the 2013 Medford Green Awards application (9:30 to 10 a.m.)
- Cleanup activities 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
- Gardening workshops 10 a.m. to 12:45 p.m.
- Open-air yoga class
- Lunch for participants (12 to 1 p.m.)
- Environmental bike tour (12:30 to 2 p.m.)

All activities are open to the public and free.
