MEDFORD, MA — Medford High School sophomore Maria Rocha was one of 30 students selected for the national HERLead Fellowship.
The fellowship, a partnership between the global Ascena Retail Group and Vital Voices, selects 30 sophomore and junior girls from the United States and Canada to participate in a week-long leadership and professional development conference in New York City. The program aims to empower young female community leaders.
Rocha will use this opportunity to further build and develop her CCSR project: the CCSR x Tufts Questbridge Chapter Resource and Mentoring Program for first-generation, low-income students.
