Medford Switching To New City Alert System
While the city is moving all contact information to the new system, community members are encouraged to create new accounts.
MEDFORD, MA — The city is transitioning to a new alert system, Everbridge, to send out alerts via telephone, email or text message. Alerts will continue to be offered as a free service to all community members, keeping them updated on important information such as public safety issues, water main breaks, construction and road closures.
As the city transitions to the new system, it is working to move all contact information manually. To prevent any data loss, residents and businesses are encouraged to create new accounts using one of the following methods:
- If you’re already enrolled in the City Alerts system via email, you should have received a registration link from Everbridge (please remember to check your Spam folder). The link will take you directly to create a new account.
- Visit www.medfordma.org/alerts to create a new account.
- If you're enrolled in the system with a phone number only, you can call 781-393-2529 to leave a message with your name, address, and phone number.
Community members are encouraged to create their own account, which will allow you to edit your information directly. Users should provide a physical address for their account to ensure they get alerts and information specific to their address.
