If elected, what would your top priority be on the school committee?

Though we face many challenges with our budget and the implementation of new state standards my main goal as a member of the School committee would be to push a complete over haul of all technology in the Medford Public School System. Having been a someone who has been a student of the 21st century I know the importance technology plays in the role of education today. Most of our equipment is over a decade old and our operating system is long outdated. If we want to have kids prepared for for the high standards they will face throughout there educational experience in Medford. Every year we should have been replacing little by little and now we are at a point where we need to bond in order to get things where we need them and we need to put a long term plan in in order to insure that we are keeping up to date with our equipment and systems to not allow us to be in this situation again. This initiative will help Medford move forward and allow our teachers a new way to teaching a stimulate our children for years to come.
