Previous elected experience: Currently serving first term on the Medford School Committee

If elected, what would your top priority be on the school committee?

If re-elected to the Medford School Committee my top priority would be to increase the school budget.  I will aggressively work to generate additional funding for the Medford Public Schools by advocating for a better distribution of Chapter 70 Funding and developing new and growing existing Public and Private partnerships within our community.  I would also like to expand our grant funding opportunities/sources and research the possibility of hiring a grant writer.  Without pursuing new sources of funding we are in jeopardy of increased class size, reductions in teaching staff and classroom aides, elimination of preventive maintenance to our buildings and the ability to offer our students state of the art technology.
