Search For Cab Mugger Leads to Medford
Police were searching Medford for two suspects who robbed a cab driver.

A cab driver was mugged on Highland Ave. near Pearl St. in Malden early Wednesday morning after a couple entered the taxi and covered the driver's head with a bag, Malden police said.
The male and female suspect then stole over $100 in cash and fled on foot, Lt. David Chalmers said. The incident occurred about 12:50 a.m.
"The cab came to a halt and the two men began to fight in the street," Lt. Detective Mark Gatcomb wrote in an email. "As the cabbie attempted to get away from his attacker, the female suspect took some of his belongings from within the taxi."
