Woman Tied Up, Man Beaten In Medford Home Invasion

Police are investigating an early morning home invasion on Doane Road.

MEDFORD, MA – Police are investigating a home invasion on Doane Road early Monday. Shortly before 2 a.m., two people – one male, the other possibly female – forced entry into the home through a rear glass door, police said.

The suspects used zip ties to restrain a woman inside the home and beat a man with a blunt object believed to be a gun, according to a police statement. The pair demanded cash and access to a safe, police said.

The suspects were wearing hoodies and masks. It is unknown what property, if any, was taken.

A police search of the area was unsuccessful. Both victims suffered non-life-threatening injuries and were taken to a local hospital.
